Adrienne kicks off season with 5000 PB in Hengelo & some frustration

Running pb´s should make an athlete happy but today it couldn’t please Adrienne. She finished with some frustration by knowing the time she ran doesn´t represent the shape she is in at the moment. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy and Adrienne had to do her warm up into pouring rain coming on the track she felt frozen and only felt warmed up and smooth in the last few laps. She put at new pb of 15.34 on the clocks.

"I’m not a person looking for excuses but today I’m just sure my race was influenced by the horrible day. Coming from warm Spain it was such a shock to my body. The warm up in the rain was so poor then sit in the cold windy call-room for about 20 mins basically cooling down. I've dealt with this before so I didn't let it bother me - at major championships it's pretty common to sit in call-rooms for 30-45mins after you've already warmed up, but usuall at least warm. So well, My race wasn’t what I expected and I’m looking forward to race on a warm sunny eve and show my great shape in 1500 & 5000! Just cant wait.."
